Introducing students to the skilled trades

The Generation T era kicks off in Milford, MA with 150 high school students getting their first taste of the skilled trades while helping local dog shelters.

Over 50 volunteers from Lowe’s Home Improvement, TimberlandPro, PeopleReady, East Coast Flooring, Metabo and Bosch donated their time to work with the students and build 24 dog houses. For some, it was their first time working with a hammer or using a nail gun.

The event was part of the launch for Generation T, a national movement from Lowe’s and 60 coalition partners to help rebuild and revitalize the skilled trades.
