Stop Lying to Your Kids! They SHOULD NOT, "Follow Their Passion" – Mike Rowe, explains.

We LIE to our children every day and tell them to,”Follow Their Passion.” Not only that, but society tells them the same thing. It’s HORRIBLE advice. We should absolutely encourage our kid’s passions, but that doesn’t mean their passion is the right course in life. Following your passion wherever it may take you? No! Should you do only what you love? No, You should learn to love what you do! How can you identify which path to take? How about which paths to avoid? Former “Dirty Jobs” star Mike Rowe, shares the “dirty truth” about passion in this great video from Prager University. Check out PragerU, subscribe and Donate to them: and Check out Mike Rowe’s great initiative in his foundation called, “Mike Rowe Works” Mike’s foundation addresses the fact that our nation’s kid “Following their passions” has left them with; A trillion dollars in student loans, the United States with; Record high numbers of people NO LONGER in the workforce; and Three million good jobs that no one seems to want! The “Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation” started the “Profoundly Disconnected®” campaign which seeks to challenge the ABSURD BELIEF that A FOUR YEAR DEGREE IS THE ONLY PATH TO SUCCESS. There is a HUGE SKILLS GAP in America, and if we don’t close it, it’ll swallow us all. Would you rather your kid have a degree and loads of debt or a skilled trade and success for life? Mike is trying to change the mindset of an entire generation of people who look down upon those who made America Great! Becoming a “Blue Collar”, Skilled Laborer is now the fastest way to success and a successful future. We must teach kids the skilled trades jobs that “polite society” overlooks. Not all kids are going to be doctors or rocket scientists. So why tell our kids to get a degree they will never use, for jobs that no longer exists, and a debt they can never repay?
