The proper installation of rubber-coated steel gaskets. The rubber-coated steel gaskets have an embossed (raised service) that follows the profile of the gasket. The raised surface should face away from the body casting or toward the installer during installation.
The rubber-coated steel gaskets are used one time, replacing the gasket once the clamp load is removed from the sealing surfaces.
