Girls Build camp gives youth a chance to try out skilled trades




Girls Build is a week-long summer camp founded in 2016 by Portland carpenter Katie Hughes. The camp offers girls between the ages of eight and 14 the opportunity to learn trade skills hands-on, from wiring solar panels to shutting off a broken water main.
